Meet the Editor
Maria Arapoglou is the founder and editor of The Greek Edition, based in Thessaloniki. Her background includes more than 15 years in sales, marketing, tourism and hospitality, including senior hotel-sector experience. The Greek Edition grew from that professional experience and a long familiarity with travelling throughout Greece.
Greece is much more than a collection of famous landmarks and summer destinations.
Every city, island and region has its own history, traditions, flavours, neighbourhoods and everyday rhythms. The Greek Edition explores these details alongside the essential information travellers need, from where to stay and how to get around to what to see, where to eat and how to organise each day.
The aim is not simply to list attractions. It is to explain what makes a place worth visiting, how different areas compare and how travellers can experience each destination in a way that suits their interests, available time and travel style.
The Greek Edition began in Northern Greece, with in-depth coverage of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki. It has since expanded across mainland Greece, with detailed destination guides to Pelion, Ioannina, Zagori, Meteora and a growing collection of places across Epirus and Thessaly.
